3D Software

We have now been introduced to two ways to construct 3D digital models from photos.  First we used a software called AgiSoft PhotoScan.  Thankfully right now the company is offering a 30 day free trial of their PhotoScan Pro software, which we were able to use and practice constructing basic models.

The second way we started to learn was by using the Autodesk 123D Catch app.  This is a free app available for iPads, iPhones, Android, and Windows.  Its pretty cool because it helps you to figure out what angle to take the photos from.  Once you take the photos on your device you upload them to their servers and the model is constructed.
