GIMP

The final piece of photo editing software that we are learning about is called GIMP.  This is a free and open source software, which means that anyone can use it and edit it for free.  It can be complicated, so we learned just about a few of the things that it can do.  This software can crop and adjust color, just like Preview and iPhoto, but it can do a lot more.  We had fun playing with the filters, changing colors on the photos and erasing bits of people with the clone tool.

Our young photographers have started to bring the cameras home for the evening... being very responsible with them, keeping them safe, returning them the next day, and taking lots and lots of pictures.  Sydney Cleveland did an excellent job at that with a total of 118 photos!
