Video Workshops Have Begun

We had our first day of video workshops and boy were we excited!  We had 14 young filmmakers ready to get started.  First off we covered the rules of the group as there were a few new faces, then on to what our projects are going to be about.  The group is going to be creating a YouTube Channel called Yup'ikTube.  This channel will display the films created by the young filmmakers in Quinhagak.  For our introduction to the world, the projects will be focused on discussing, "what it means to be Yup'ik".

After discussing our projects a little, we did some theatrical warm up exercises, as not only are the filmmakers going to be behind the camera, some may be in front of it as well.  Several of the young filmmakers were less than excited to participate in our little activities (2 Truths and 1 Lie and The Machine).  Hopefully tomorrow we can get the whole group going.
